Young World Forum

Students lead a cocooned life amidst academics and limited sports/hobby opportunities. On hindsight, we as educators realize that young imaginative minds need to be left free to create wonders and the apt medium to do that is ‘creativity’ inspired by art. Each of us has experienced frustration. The frustration of being taught by someone who does not understand how we learn best is certainly one of the most challenging circumstances we face in a learning environment. Often, our sense of self is diminished as we struggle to grasp what others seem to absorb intuitively. Art, a discipline which does not require excellent verbal or writing skills to communicate with peers or teachers, can provide a safe place to experiment and express one's thoughts and talents, also save the uniqueness that each one of us are born with, as one learns new skills. One could go even further and argue that knowledge of the arts is an indispensable foundation for enlightened citizenship in our increasingly complicated world.

What is the right age to start learning an art form? How does one decide which art form to pursue?

How do parents or Schools correlate a child with an art form that best inspires him/her?

Can fostering a balanced right (creativity) and left (logic) brain growth make our children more successful and happier individuals?

If a child had more than one interests how would it be to learn it all under one roof under the guidance of experienced artists specializing in the stream?

Is there a reasonable method of evaluation to understand a child’s artistic inclination?

Can learning art make a child a better person, a better citizen if not for anything else?

Is there a program that can bring about a paradigm shift to the In-school and After-school hours Art Learning to understand what truly inspires our young minds?

Abstract notes to Young World Forum

“Only If I knew... I would have started earlier… I would have made better choices... and probably found the Art in Me…, maybe much early… I would have saved time… Money… This thought would have crossed many creative minds through their struggle to find their forte of excellence. Why do you think it is this way? Is it because we are ignorant or inexperienced or is 'art' too expensive or we lack the exposure?  Our country which boasts of rich culture has always seemed to have undermined the importance of art education”.

Thus Young World Forum,  as an idea was conceived in 2007 toward providing nurturing and unbiased platform for Primary Education in Arts & Creative medium by United Arts Society. After more than 4yrs of research in this domain, we offer Young World Forum, which focuses on primary education in various Art forms, exposing children to elements of theatre, dance, music, fine and visual arts. In this platform participants are exposed to more than 90 differently designed and well researched art sessions. With more than 96 hours (8months) of well research curriculum and well designed program, UAS strongly advocates 1yr of Young World Forum, in every child’s life between the age of 8yrs to 12yrs so that they experience the colourful, exuberant world of art.  A lot of enjoyable activities are planned in a way that enables learning about each art form from a practicing and experienced artist.
